15 Year Old Critically Hurt After Heavy Collision with Approaching Vehicle

In Milton, 15-year-old boy sustained life-threatening injuries on Saturday afternoon following a high-speed collision of his electric scooter and a passenger vehicle. The incident is reported to have occurred near the 620 block of Meridian Avenue East, alerting the attention of Pierce County Sheriff’s Office and prompting their swift response and emergency medical teams after calls reporting the crash began coming in around 4:30 p.m.

Initial findings from investigators suggest that the teenager was traveling at an unsafe speed while descending the street on his scooter . The momentum of the device led to a direct impact with the car, causing the boy to be thrown onto the vehicle’s windshield before falling to the pavement.

Authorities highlighted a critical lack of safety gear, noting that the 15-year-old was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash. Following the collision, the victim was stabilized by emergency crews and transported to a local hospital where he remains in serious condition.

The driver of the vehicle involved in the accident remained at the scene and has been cooperating fully with the Pierce County Sheriff’s Office during the investigation. As of the latest reports, deputies are still working to finalize the details of the crash, and no information regarding potential charges has been released
