According to the Seattle Police Department, officers responded to a late-night call on Thursday reporting a shooting near the intersection of Aurora Avenue North and North 125th Street.

Upon arrival, they found a critically injured 20-year-old woman who had suffered a severe gunshot wound to her abdomen. She was later rushed to Harborview Medical Centre by Seattle Fire Department medics.

The investigation revealed that before the shooting, there was a dispute between the suspect and the victim. Authorities say the suspect later approached the woman in a black SUV, opened fire and drove away Westbound towards North 125th Street.

The case is under investigation, and the suspect has not been found. The SPD’s Gun Violence Reduction Unit is handling the investigation, and the SPD has urged anyone with information about this incident to call the SPD’s Violent Crimes Tip Line – (206) 233-5000.
