The Seattle Police Department reports that a 37-year-old man is said to have been killed in early hours of Tuesday after he was struck by a minivan while taking a trip on his electric scooter in north Seattle. The crash took place around 12:45 a.m. near 24th Avenue Northwest and Northwest 85th Street. Police said the man was riding through the area when he was hit by a westbound minivan driven by a 16-year-old. A passing bus driver later found the injured man in the middle of the intersection and called 911.
Medics attempted to save the man’s life and performed CPR at the scene, but he died from his injuries. Police said the teenage driver returned to the scene after the collision and cooperated with investigators.
