Aslan Brewing has arrived at Seward Park, marking the Bellingham-based brewery’s third Seattle location and continuing an expansion into the city that began in 2019 with their Fremont outpost, followed by Tangletown, and now the southeast Seattle neighbourhood.
The connection to Seattle runs deeper than geography. The owner is Seattle-born and raised, and the city has always been central to the vision for where Aslan would grow. Seward Park, with its loyal neighbourhood base and proximity to the lake, fits that vision well.
The first pour worth ordering is the Batch 15, Aslan’s flagship hazy IPA. Tropical citrus, a smooth finish, and a bitterness that never tips into overwhelming, it is the kind of beer that makes a strong case for the style. For those who prefer something crisper and more assertive, the Tidebreaker is a West Coast IPA that delivers a cleaner, more traditional hop bite. Both are worth trying if you are settling in for the afternoon.
Beyond the beer, the new Seward Park location brings solid food and the kind of relaxed, neighbourhood-first atmosphere that has made Aslan’s other Seattle spots regulars on people’s rotation.
