A couple working as Amazon delivery drivers pleaded guilty to stealing nearly $58,000 worth of packages in less than a month instead of delivering them to customers.
Brandon and Madison Kelderman were arrested in October 2025 and each charged with one count of first-degree theft. Police said the pair worked as Flex delivery drivers for Amazon. Between August 22 and September 7, the Keldermans stole $57,996 in packages rather than delivering them to customers.
Authorities became aware of the theft after Amazon notified them of a suspicious spike in undelivered packages. “We were alerted to this through loss prevention at Amazon. They contacted us and filed a theft report. Essentially, they noticed that several packages had gone missing. They provided the suspect information,” police said.

Upon checking the couple’s residence in Altoona, police reportedly found at least two pallets of undelivered packages from multiple states. The Keldermans were arrested after they turned themselves in to police. Although they initially pleaded not guilty, they eventually both changed their pleas to guilty.
The case highlights vulnerabilities in the gig economy delivery model where independent contractors handle thousands of packages with limited oversight. Amazon Flex drivers use their own vehicles and pick up packages from distribution centers, operating with less direct supervision than traditional delivery employees.
