AMBER Alert Canceled After Missing Four-Year-Old Found Safe in Washington

A statewide AMBER Alert issued for a four-year-old child in the Kennewick area has been canceled after authorities confirmed the child was found safe early Sunday morning. The alert, issued Saturday evening by the Washington State Patrol in collaboration with the Kennewick Police Department, ended around 2 a.m. after the child was located in nearby Pasco.

According to police, the child was discovered unharmed following a multi-agency search operation. Authorities said the child was safely reunited with family members shortly after being found, bringing the overnight search to a successful conclusion.

Despite the child’s safe recovery, investigators say the child’s father remains wanted in connection with the incident. He is being sought over allegations that include first-degree kidnapping, second-degree assault, and making threats to kill.

As of Sunday afternoon, officials had not confirmed whether formal criminal charges had been filed against the suspect. Attempts by local media to obtain updates from the Kennewick Police Department and county prosecutors were unsuccessful, and the investigation remains ongoing.
