Seattle police are looking into an early Saturday morning crash and fatal shooting in Rainier Valley that appears to be a murder-suicide.

Around 3:00 a.m. on September 19, officers responded to a wreck at the intersection of Martin Luther King Jr. Way South and South Graham Street, where they found a man and a woman inside the vehicle, both suffering from gunshot wounds.

Although first responders treated the pair at the scene, the woman passed away there. The man was rushed to Harborview Medical Center in critical condition, where he later died.

According to findings from the King County Medical Examiner’s Office, authorities determined that the man shot the woman before turning the gun on himself. The medical examiner identified the woman as 30-year-old Analisa Marie Gomez and ruled her death a homicide based on the findings. The man was identified as 33-year-old Lorenzo Blanco Reyes, and his death was ruled a suicide.
