On the morning of May 6, 2025, a man and a woman sustained injuries in a shooting incident in Seattle’s Northgate neighborhood. Seattle Police Department (SPD) officers responded to reports of gunfire at approximately 8:59 a.m. near North 90th Street and Nesbit Avenue North.

Upon arrival, officers found a man with a grazing wound to his foot and a woman with a superficial wound to her right thigh. Seattle Fire Department medics treated both victims at the scene before transporting them to the University of Washington Medical Center. Both individuals sustained non-life-threatening injuries.

Preliminary investigations suggest that the shooting followed a disturbance. No arrests have been made at this time. Detectives from SPD’s Violence Reduction Unit are actively investigating the circumstances leading up to the incident.

Authorities are urging anyone with information related to the shooting to contact the Seattle Police Department’s Violent Crimes Tip Line at (206) 233-5000, referencing incident number 2025-121413.

This incident underscores ongoing concerns about public safety and gun violence in Seattle neighborhoods. Community members are encouraged to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities to local law enforcement.
