A 25-year-old man suffered life-threatening stab wounds Wednesday evening in an attack near Denny Way and 7th Avenue North, prompting a swift police response that led to an arrest.
The victim collapsed in front of a Seattle Police Department vehicle around 7:45 p.m., having sustained multiple stab wounds during what authorities describe as an altercation between two men. Paramedics transported him to Harborview Medical Center in critical condition.
The incident began with a physical confrontation, though investigators continue examining what precipitated the violence. Following the attack, the suspect fled the immediate area.
Officers tracked a blood trail from the scene to a nearby apartment building, where they located a 35-year-old man who claimed he had been attacked on a bus. Police arrested the individual, who now faces booking into King County Jail.
