A man was taken into custody early Wednesday morning after reportedly breaking several windows on a King County Metro bus in Seattle’s Belltown area.

The incident occurred around 4:40 a.m. near the intersection of 5th Avenue and Wall Street, according to law enforcement officials. Authorities said the man initially approached the bus requesting assistance from the driver. Moments later, he allegedly began smashing the vehicle’s windows.

Responding officers from Seattle Police and deputies from the King County Sheriff’s Office arrived at the scene and identified the individual. Investigators noted that he had an outstanding misdemeanor warrant at the time of the incident.

The man was arrested and booked into the King County Jail. Authorities confirmed that no injuries were reported during the event.
