Seattle police arrested a 33-year-old man on Tuesday after he attempted, and failed, to outrun officers once more.

According to the Seattle Police Department (SPD), officers spotted the man, who had an outstanding felony warrant, around 7:10 p.m. near 12th Avenue South and South Jackson Street. As soon as they approached, he bolted, leading officers on a chase through city streets and into a nearby parking lot. SPD said officers caught him shortly after and used a taser during the arrest.

The suspect was wanted on a $25,000 warrant for burglary and obstructing a law enforcement officer, along with a $10,000 warrant for malicious mischief. Officers said they suspected he may have tossed a gun during the chase, but no firearm was recovered.

During the arrest, police found ammunition, firearm accessories, 1.4 grams of methamphetamine, 0.7 grams of cocaine, and $148 in cash.

SPD confirmed the man was initially taken to King County Jail, but booking was declined pending a medical evaluation. He was transported to Harborview Medical Center, discharged, and then booked into jail.

Police said further charges could be filed for narcotics possession and obstructing a law enforcement officer.
