A military Humvee towing a trailer crashed off eastbound Interstate 90 in Bellevue, Washington, on Saturday, May 10, 2025. The vehicle plunged approximately 30 feet from the highway’s retaining wall onto Southeast 38th Street below, near the Eastgate neighborhood. Two occupants sustained minor injuries and were transported to a nearby hospital, likely Overlake Medical Center .

The crash occurred when the Humvee inexplicably drifted to the right, exited the freeway, crossed a grassy area, and went over the retaining wall. The vehicle was part of a military convoy believed to be en route to the Yakima Training Center .

Washington State Patrol Trooper Rick Johnson confirmed that no other vehicles were involved in the crash. The cause of the incident remains under investigation, with no video footage or dashcam recordings available at this time .

Eastgate is a residential neighborhood in Bellevue, Washington, located south of Interstate 90. The area is characterized by its proximity to Cougar Mountain and is served by the Bellevue and Issaquah School Districts .
