Organizers anticipate widespread participation in this Saturday’s “No Kings” protest movement, with more than 2,500 demonstrations planned throughout all 50 states expected to attract millions of attendees.
The coordinated actions mark a significant expansion from the movement’s June rally, which drew approximately 8,000 demonstrators voicing opposition to policies advanced by the Trump administration.

A coalition of national organizations has announced participation in Saturday’s events, including the American Civil Liberties Union, the American Federation of Teachers, and the Human Rights Campaign, among others.
The protests have drawn sharp criticism from Republican officials, who have characterized the demonstrations as anti-American gatherings.
In Las Vegas, where a local demonstration is scheduled for Main Street from 5 to 7 p.m., Mayor Shelley Berkley addressed the upcoming event earlier this week. The mayor called on participants to exercise their constitutional rights to peaceful assembly and free expression responsibly.

The capital has witnessed multiple demonstrations since the current administration assumed office in January. Some gatherings have resulted in confrontations between protesters and law enforcement, including an anti-Immigration and Customs Enforcement action earlier this year that concluded with police deployment of tear gas and flash bang devices. That incident led to nearly 100 arrests.
City officials have not announced specific security measures for Saturday’s event but are expected to coordinate with local law enforcement to ensure public safety while facilitating the exercise of First Amendment rights.
