One Woman Dead, Another Injured After More Than 100 Rounds Fired at South Tacoma House Party

Two women were struck by the gunfire. One died at the scene, while the second was transported to hospital and is expected to survive. Authorities have not yet released the identity of the woman killed, confirmed how many individuals were involved, or identified any suspects. The investigation remains ongoing.

The scale of the shooting sent ripples of fear through the surrounding blocks. Bullets struck nearby homes and property, and some residents reported finding young teenagers hiding in their yards seeking safety. “We had two kids hiding around this area,” one resident said. “We asked if they were okay, they said yes, told us good night, and left.” Additional footage showed vehicles leaving the area rapidly as people fled on foot. Many neighbors declined to speak on camera, citing safety concerns.

“Seeing that there were around 100 rounds fired, it’s just so scary. That could’ve taken a lot of lives,” one neighbor said. Another added: “It scares me a lot. I don’t know what to think about bringing my kids around here. There’s never been an incident like this.”
