Investigation is being carried out by the detectives with Seattle Police Department concerning the shootout in Pioneer Square that left one person injured and damaged surrounding property.
Officers promptly responded to several 911 reports of gunfire at the intersection of 1st Avenue and King Street. Shortly after the first few calls, a victim walked into Harborview Medical Center harboring a non-life threatening gunshot wound to the back.
The fight had erupted at a nearby bar where a physical altercation had erupted and several people pulled out firearms and shot at each other, security personnel in the surrounding area reported.
The Police were able to identify shell casings from different calibers, indicating that multiple shooters had been involved. The bullets had also damaged several vehicles parked nearby and a business located on the northwest corner of the intersection as well. Police have not arrested any suspect at this time.
