Tacoma police are investigating a homicide after a man was fatally shot early Wednesday morning in the city’s South End neighborhood, and no suspects are currently in custody.
Officers responded to multiple reports of gunfire in the 6900 block of East D Street just after 3 a.m. When they arrived, they found an adult male with gunshot wounds. Despite efforts to save him, the man died at the scene. Detectives and crime scene technicians are now investigating the case as a homicide.
Police have not released details about what led up to the shooting or identified any persons of interest. Anyone with information is asked to call 911.
