Seattle Police Chase and Arrest Suspect On Burglary Claims in Montlake Neighborhood.

Seattle Police have arrested a 47-year-old man with claims that he burglarized a home after which he proceeded to run from the police officers and change his clothes while trying to evade the capture of the Police.

Seattle Police reports that on Tuesday afternoon, a 15-year-old called 911 to report a suspicious man in the backyard of his family home in the 1800 block of East Hamlin Street in Montlake neighborhood. The man is said to have gone to the shed of the family’s house and pull out several items including a set of gold clubs, an electric skateboard and a generator.

The man was able to escape before Police arrived and continued to evade the police as he ran all through the neighborhood with the officers keeping close chase. Later, the police were able to catch him and noted he was wearing a different set of clothes when they found him. The Seattle police K-9 named Frodo who assisted in the search, found the shirt and hat police have stated the man wore during the burglary

The suspect has been kept in custody at the King County jail on allegations of burglary, Seattle Police reports.
