Seattle police are actively investigating a shooting incident that occurred early Saturday morning in the Bitter Lake neighborhood, leaving a 32-year-old man injured with a graze wound to the head.
The gunfire erupted shortly after 1 a.m. on April 13, in a parking lot located in the 400 block of North 105th Street, according to a Seattle Police Department (SPD) report. Officers responding to the scene found multiple 9mm shell casings scattered across the area. While no suspects or victims were initially present at the scene, evidence of the shooting—including a bullet-riddled mailbox—was recovered.
Shortly after the incident, a man walked into Northwest Hospital seeking medical attention for a grazing gunshot wound to the head. The victim told police he had been driving in the area during the time of the shooting and sustained the injury while attempting to escape the gunfire. He emphasized that his only focus in the moment was to get home alive. His condition is currently listed as stable, and his injuries are not considered life-threatening.
The case has been assigned to SPD’s Gun Violence Reduction Unit, which is leading the investigation. Detectives are reviewing evidence from the scene and working to piece together the circumstances leading up to the shooting.
No arrests have been made as of now, and authorities have yet to identify any suspects.
