The Seattle Police Department (SPD) has issued an alert as they search for a missing 12-year-old boy who disappeared Monday evening in Seattle’s Rainier Valley neighborhood.
The child was last seen near South Cloverdale Street and Rainier Avenue South, a busy area in South Seattle. According to authorities, the boy is described as 5 feet tall, weighing approximately 120 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. At the time of his disappearance, he was wearing a red hoodie, black pants, and white sneakers.
Family members reported him missing after he failed to return home. Police say this behavior is out of character and are treating the case as a high-priority missing child investigation. Officers canvassed the neighborhood overnight and continue to review surveillance footage from nearby homes and businesses.
As of Tuesday morning, no signs of foul play have been confirmed, but the SPD is not ruling out any possibilities. Detectives urge residents in the Rainier Valley and surrounding areas to remain vigilant and check their home security systems for potential sightings.
Anyone with information regarding the child’s whereabouts is urged to contact the Seattle Police non-emergency line at (206) 625-5011, or dial 911 if the child is seen or believed to be in immediate danger.
