On an early Monday morning, a 33-year-old Seattle woman was struck and killed on the northbound Interstate 5 in Federal Way after she left a moving vehicle, according to the Washington State Patrol. Troopers responded to reports of a vehicle striking a pedestrian just south of South 272nd Street at around 12:17 a.m.
Investigators said the woman had been riding in a vehicle traveling in the third of five northbound lanes and exited while it was still in motion. She was struck by a second vehicle traveling in the first lane. She was pronounced dead at the scene, and both vehicles stopped on the right shoulder.
