Skrillex will perform at Gas Works Park on August 29, his first Seattle concert in fourteen years. The nine-time Grammy winner announced the Gas Works Day Party lineup on July 30, with Dylan Brady, Nick León, Porter Robinson and underscores joining him on the bill.
The event is 21 and over, with doors at 3 p.m. Artist presale tickets go on sale August 5, followed by general sale on August 6.
The announcement had been building for two weeks. The producer posted a single word, “Seattle?”, on X on July 17, then shared an image of Gas Works Park on July 29. Porter Robinson reposted it to his Instagram stories before the official lineup drop the following day. The city of Seattle had separately listed a large summer event at the park for August 29, running from noon to 9 p.m., with anticipated attendance around 10,000.
Skrillex last played Seattle at Bumbershoot in 2012, and his most recent Washington appearance was at Paradiso at the Gorge in 2019.
The August date returns him to a city that helped build the audience for his early work, and to a park whose lawn has hosted far more picnics than headline sets. For Fremont, a 10,000-person daytime crowd on a Saturday in late August will be one of the larger single-day gatherings the neighborhood has absorbed this year.
