Snohomish County Sheriff’s deputies are urgently seeking the public’s help to identify two suspects involved in a drive-by shooting that took place on May 5, 2025, near the LA Fitness gym located on Mukilteo Speedway in Lynnwood. According to authorities, the incident occurred when a Hispanic man, who had just finished his workout at the gym, became the target of a shooting while driving away from the area.

At approximately 8:00 p.m., the victim was leaving the gym parking lot when he noticed several vehicles performing “donuts” near the entrance. The vehicles appeared to be involved in some kind of reckless activity, but the victim did not directly engage with the individuals. As he continued to drive, one of the vehicles, described as an older black sedan—possibly a Honda Accord-style race car with tinted windows—followed him for some distance.

Without warning, the passenger in the sedan rolled down the window and fired multiple shots at the victim’s vehicle. The victim, who was fortunately not struck by the gunfire, immediately drove to his sister’s house and contacted law enforcement. Deputies responded to the scene shortly afterward and collected evidence. While the victim’s vehicle was damaged, no injuries were reported.

Investigators believe the shooting may be connected to gang-related activity, though no specific details have been confirmed. The suspects are described as two white males, with the driver being in his late 20s to early 30s, and the passenger believed to be similarly aged. The vehicle used in the crime is described as an older black sedan, possibly a Honda Accord-style race car, with tinted windows. The sheriff’s office has urged anyone with additional information to come forward, as even the smallest detail could be critical to solving the case.

The Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office has released a statement asking the public to contact their tip line at 425-388-3845. People can also submit anonymous tips through Crime Stoppers, and a cash reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest of the suspects involved in this shooting.

This incident serves as a reminder of the growing concern over drive-by shootings and gang-related violence in the Lynnwood area. Local authorities are working hard to prevent further incidents and ensure the safety of residents in the community. Deputies are urging the public to remain vigilant and to report any suspicious activity, especially when it involves reckless driving or unsafe behavior in public spaces. Authorities also emphasize the importance of community cooperation in solving such crimes, as information from the public can play a pivotal role in investigations.

As of now, there have been no further reports of incidents related to this drive-by shooting. Investigators continue to follow up on leads and are hopeful that public assistance will help bring the responsible individuals to justice.
