Two Arlington families escape danger where stray bullets miss them narrowly as their families gathered outside the grounds for a child’s birthday party.
Security camera footage captured the frightening moments as gunfire erupted, sending parents scrambling to get children to safety while bullets shattered windows and struck multiple parts of the neighboring homes.
The shooting happened Saturday afternoon whilst the children played outside at the birthday party and suddenly bullets pierced a sliding glass door, struck a home computer, and damaged a backyard fence, trampoline and playset.
Despite the barrage of gunfire, no one was injured.
One homeowner said a bullet passed just feet from him inside his home.
According to the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office, investigators determined the rounds came from a nearby property where at least one person was legally target shooting.
Authorities continue the incident and plan to recommend reckless endangerment charges.
The families say the incident has left them shaken and questioning how such dangerous gunfire could reach their neighborhood.
They are calling for greater accountability to prevent similar incidents in the future.
