Law enforcement officials in Tacoma are actively searching for 47-year-old Heather Person, also known as Heather Keating, who is accused of attempted murder following a violent incident on April 29, 2025. The alleged attack occurred at approximately 8:00 p.m. in the 8800 block of Pacific Avenue, a busy corridor in the city known for both residential and commercial activity.

According to investigators, Person allegedly used a pickup truck to deliberately strike a woman, ultimately pinning the victim beneath the vehicle. Emergency crews responded to the scene where the victim was found with serious injuries. She was transported to a nearby hospital, where she remains in critical condition. Tacoma police have confirmed the severity of the assault and are pursuing the case as an intentional act of violence.

Person is described as a white female, approximately 5 feet 4 inches tall and weighing around 110 pounds. Authorities believe she may still be in the Tacoma area but also warn that she could be traveling between Tacoma and Seattle. Law enforcement officials are urging the public to be on alert and to report any sightings or information related to her whereabouts.

A reward of up to $1,000 has been offered through Crime Stoppers of Tacoma-Pierce County for any information leading to Heather Person’s arrest. Tipsters can remain anonymous and are encouraged to call 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) if they have any relevant details.

This case adds to growing concerns about violent crime in the Tacoma region, where residents have experienced a noticeable increase in high-profile assaults and vehicular crimes in recent months. The police have reinforced the importance of community involvement in reporting suspicious activity, stressing that public assistance can play a vital role in ensuring the safety and security of local neighborhoods.

As the investigation continues, the Tacoma Police Department is working diligently to gather additional evidence, interview witnesses, and coordinate with regional agencies to apprehend the suspect. The seriousness of the incident has prompted renewed discussions about safety measures and crime prevention strategies in the area.

Anyone with information is urged not to approach the suspect directly but instead contact authorities immediately. Community members are encouraged to stay informed and vigilant, especially in light of ongoing violent incidents across Pierce County.

This developing story remains a priority for local law enforcement, who are determined to bring justice to the victim and ensure the suspect is held accountable. Updates will be released as new information becomes available.
