Firefighters responded to a car that drove into a ditch near Lake Washington Boulevard East and East Foster Island Road on Friday, trapping three people inside.
Crews arriving at the scene reported three people were trapped inside the vehicle. Firefighters worked to stabilize the car and safely extract the occupants. Crews removed the roof of the car to free everyone inside, according to fire officials.
All occupants were in stable condition, according to Seattle Fire. The crash occurred in the area between the Montlake and Broadmoor neighborhoods. Authorities urged the public to avoid the area while emergency crews responded.

Traffic delays were expected as emergency personnel worked at the scene. The cause of the crash remained under investigation. No additional information about what led the vehicle off the road was immediately available.
Seattle Fire did not release information about whether the occupants were transported to the hospital for evaluation or treatment. The area where the crash occurred is near the Washington Park Arboretum and features winding roads along Lake Washington. Emergency responders regularly caution drivers to exercise care on the curved roadways in the area, particularly during wet weather conditions.
