A man accused in the fatal shooting of a woman outside a Tukwila Costco last year has been extradited to Seattle after authorities tracked him down in Africa.
Federal officials confirmed that 20-year-old Salman S. Haji was arrested in Kenya by FBI agents and returned to the U.S. to face charges in King County.
Haji, who had been wanted in connection with the deadly parking lot shooting, is now being held at the King County Jail. His bail has been set at $5 million.
Prosecutors allege that Haji and 20-year-old Ilyiss Abdi were involved in the attempted robbery that led to the death of 67-year-old Yuam Ming. The incident, which unfolded in the Costco parking lot, shocked the Tukwila community and sparked an international manhunt after Haji allegedly fled the country.
Both men are charged with murder, robbery, and attempted robbery in connection with the case.
