Seattle, WA – A series of spring storms are set to impact Washington state this weekend, delivering heavy rainfall, gusty winds, and snow in higher elevations, disrupting travel and outdoor activities. Seattle and Spokane will experience wet weather through Sunday, with the possibility of thunderstorms and snow in the mountains.

The National Weather Service has forecasted steady rain for Seattle starting Friday afternoon, with showers expected to begin after 11 a.m. Temperatures will reach around 50°F, accompanied by light southerly winds at 10 mph. The rain will continue into the evening with a high likelihood of precipitation, at 90%. Saturday will bring persistent rain and breezy conditions, with temperatures remaining near 50°F.

Spokane will face a combination of rain and snow on Friday night, with snow levels dropping to as low as 2,900 feet. By Saturday, the region will see intensifying showers, along with gusty winds and the possibility of thunderstorms. Daytime temperatures will hover near 49°F.

Sunday’s forecast for both cities indicates continued rain, though there may be brief periods of clearing. Highs will remain around 50°F, with persistent moisture in the atmosphere.

Looking ahead, both Seattle and Spokane are expected to experience intermittent rain through Monday, but conditions may improve by Tuesday, offering a brief respite with drier weather. Travelers are advised to stay updated on road conditions, especially along I-90, where snow accumulation could create hazardous travel conditions.

Stay informed with real-time weather updates and prepare for wet roads and possible delays.
