Seattle police are actively investigating a double stabbing that occurred Saturday night near Hing Hay Park in the city’s Chinatown-International District, following a reported altercation between individuals in the area.

According to the Seattle Police Department (SPD), officers responded to reports of a disturbance around 8:42 p.m. in the 500 block of South Jackson Street. Upon arrival, they discovered a 32-year-old man suffering from a serious stab wound to the neck. Witnesses at the scene reported that the victim had been involved in an altercation with an unidentified suspect just moments before the attack.

Officers immediately rendered first aid until medics from the Seattle Fire Department arrived and initiated life-saving efforts. The victim was transported to Harborview Medical Center in critical condition.

A second victim, a 37-year-old man, was also located at the scene with a laceration to his arm. Medics treated him on-site and released him, as his injuries were deemed non-life-threatening.

The SPD Homicide and Assault Unit has taken over the investigation and is working to determine the circumstances leading up to the violent incident. No arrests have been made at this time, and the suspect remains at large.

Authorities are urging anyone with information related to the case to contact the Seattle Police Violent Crimes Tip Lineat (206) 233-5000. The case reference number is 2025-118938.

This incident underscores ongoing public safety concerns in the Chinatown-International District and highlights the continued efforts of law enforcement to address violent crime in downtown Seattle.
