Seattle police are searching for a driver who fled after striking a woman riding a Lime bike in Capitol Hill Wednesday night, leaving her with serious injuries.

Officers responded to reports of a bicycle collision near Broadway and East Pine Street at 8:25 p.m. and found a 30-year-old woman suffering from a leg injury.

Firefighters provided initial treatment before ambulance personnel transported the woman to Harborview Medical Center. Authorities said she is in serious but stable condition.

A preliminary investigation indicates a car struck the woman while she rode a Lime bike on Broadway. The driver failed to stop and render aid, fleeing the scene instead.

The incident represents one of several hit-and-run cases in Seattle involving cyclists and pedestrians, highlighting ongoing concerns about driver accountability and vulnerable road user safety.

Broadway serves as a major arterial through Capitol Hill with high volumes of pedestrian, bicycle, and vehicle traffic, particularly during evening hours when visibility can be challenging.

Seattle Police are urging anyone with information about the crash or potential suspect to call the department’s non-emergency line at (206) 625-5011.

Hit-and-run crashes carry serious legal consequences in Washington, with felony charges possible when serious injury occurs. Drivers involved in collisions are legally required to stop, render aid, and exchange information.
