One of Seattle’s most distinctive dining experiences is back. ELDR, the live-fire restaurant from Executive Chef and Restaurateur Brian Clevenger, has officially reopened in the Sunset Hill neighbourhood, returning with a vibrant spring menu that leans into the restaurant’s core philosophy of simplicity, quality, and fire.

The name ELDR comes from the Old Norse word for fire, and the concept is built entirely around it. Live-fire cooking drives every dish, with an emphasis on exceptional proteins and grilled seasonal produce sourced from local and sustainable suppliers. The spring menu opens with standout starters including an Albacore Crudo with strawberry, chili, and olive oil, and a Grilled Asparagus with taleggio, hazelnut, and chervil. Main courses range from Halibut with charred spring onion jus and pea vines to a dry-aged American Wagyu Ribeye Steak for Two designed for sharing. A four-course chef’s tasting menu is available for $97.

Clevenger said the reopening is a chance to return to what the restaurant has always been about. “This restaurant is all about celebrating the essence of live-fire cooking, and we’re excited to share a fresh spring menu that showcases the best proteins and produce the season has to offer,” he said.

The intimate dining room seats just 36 guests, keeping the atmosphere close and considered. Happy hour runs daily from 5 to 6 p.m. and again from 9 to 10 p.m. The bar programme features hand-crafted cocktails built on spirits from local distilleries and beyond, a selection of local and domestic beers, and a wine list drawing from Italian, French, and Pacific Northwest producers.

ELDR is located at 6414 32nd Avenue NW and is open daily from 5 to 10 p.m. Takeout and delivery are available through Toast, DoorDash, and Uber Eats. ELDR is part of General Harvest, the award-winning restaurant group Clevenger founded in 2015, which also operates Vendemmia, Raccolto, Autumn, G.H. Pasta and Pizza, and East Anchor Seafood across the greater Seattle area.
