A high-speed crash in Burien, Washington, led to a dramatic scene as a vehicle became airborne and smashed through two residential homes. The incident, which occurred around 2:30 p.m., left a trail of destruction but miraculously resulted in no serious injuries.
According to authorities, the vehicle—a sedan driven by a man in his 20s—was traveling eastbound on South 120th Street, rapidly approaching the intersection at Military Road South. Witnesses and investigators report that the driver failed to stop at the intersection, lost control of the car, and struck a curb. The impact from the curb caused the vehicle to launch into the air with such force that it penetrated the side of one house and crashed completely into a second neighboring home.
Emergency crews responded swiftly to the scene. The driver, who was the sole occupant of the car, sustained only minor injuries and was treated on-site before being taken into custody by law enforcement for questioning. Remarkably, none of the residents inside the affected homes were injured. One of the homes was occupied by the Kollosch family, who were not present during the crash.
