Seattle police are investigating another deadly shooting that took place early Sunday morning in the city’s SODO neighborhood, marking the second fatal incident in the area that day.

Officers were dispatched around 6:05 a.m. to the area near 4th Avenue South and South Massachusetts Street after receiving reports of a person lying on the ground and bleeding. Upon arrival, they located a man in a nearby parking lot suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Despite swift efforts by Seattle Fire Department responders, the man was declared dead at the scene.

Close to where the victim was found, officers discovered an unoccupied sports car that had sustained significant damage from a traffic collision. The vehicle was no longer operational, and investigators are now looking into whether the crash and the shooting are linked in any way.

The Seattle Police Department confirmed that homicide detectives and members of the Crime Scene Investigation Unit are overseeing the ongoing inquiry. No suspects were located at the scene, and authorities have not yet made any arrests in connection with the case.

Police have asked that anyone with knowledge of the incident reach out via the department’s Violent Crimes Tip Line at 206-233-5000 as the investigation continues to develop.
