A 24-year-old man is hospitalised after being shot multiple times by police following a domestic violence call at an Arlington apartment complex on Saturday morning, during which authorities say he opened fire on officers both inside and outside his unit.
Arlington Police responded to a reported dispute between a father and his adult son at the Timbers Apartments. Officers from the Snohomish County Multiple Agency Response Team were on scene when the son began firing at them. His father was not inside the apartment at the time of the shooting. No officers or bystanders were struck during the exchange of gunfire.

The suspect was hit multiple times by police gunfire and transported to hospital, where he is expected to survive. The nature and extent of his specific injuries have not yet been disclosed by authorities. Responding officers called for emergency backup from multiple law enforcement agencies to help secure the area, and nearby residents were ordered to shelter in place during the active incident.
The case is now under investigation by the Snohomish County SMART team. The Washington State Office of Independent Investigations has been notified of the officer-involved shooting, as is standard procedure in such cases. Authorities have not yet confirmed whether the gunfire originated from inside the apartment or disclosed what specific weapons were involved.
