Three 16-year-old boys were arrested by Seattle police following an armed robbery at a convenience store in North Seattle on the evening of May 12, 2025. According to reports from the Seattle Police Department, the teens entered the store and stole several boxes of condoms. As the suspects exited the premises, a store employee attempted to intervene, prompting a person inside a waiting getaway vehicle to point a shotgun at the employee. Fearing for his life, the store manager immediately called 911 to report the robbery and the presence of a weapon.
Responding officers quickly relayed the description of the suspects and their vehicle across police channels. Members of the Seattle Police Department’s Community Response Group later located the suspect vehicle and attempted to initiate a felony traffic stop. In an effort to flee, the vehicle reversed and rammed into a police cruiser, then sped off. Officers pursued the suspects and employed a pursuit intervention technique, commonly known as a PIT maneuver, to bring the fleeing vehicle to a stop. All three teenage boys were taken into custody at the scene and transported to the North Precinct for booking and further investigation.
During a search of the vehicle, officers recovered a loaded shotgun, which was later confirmed to have been reported stolen out of Snohomish County. The vehicle involved in the incident was impounded and is now part of an ongoing investigation. The three teenage suspects were booked into juvenile detention on robbery charges. Additionally, two of the suspects face further charges related to possession of a stolen firearm.
Also present in the vehicle at the time of the arrest were three underage girls, aged between 15 and 16. They were detained for questioning and later released from custody at the North Precinct. Police have not yet disclosed whether the girls will face any charges in connection with the incident.
Detectives from the Seattle Police Department’s Robbery Unit are currently handling the case under incident number 2025-128423. The investigation remains active as officers continue to gather evidence and determine the full extent of the suspects’ actions.
