Three people were found dead with apparent gunshot wounds Saturday morning at a residence in northwest Olympia after neighbors reported hearing an argument followed by gunfire.

Olympia Police responded around 10:37 a.m. to a private home in the 2300 block of 19th Court NW. When officers arrived, they discovered one man and two women dead inside the residence. Investigators have not disclosed whether the individuals were related to each other or if all were residents of the home.

The investigation remains active, and detectives were still processing the scene Saturday afternoon. Police said there is no indication of an ongoing threat to the community. Officers thanked community members who provided information to dispatchers and asked residents to avoid the area while investigators continue their work.

The circumstances surrounding the deaths remain under investigation. Police have not said whether they are treating the incident as a murder-suicide or whether they are searching for a suspect. The close timing between the reported argument and gunfire suggests the deaths occurred during or shortly after the altercation neighbors overheard.

Anyone with information related to the incident is asked to contact dispatch at 360-704-2740. The deaths mark another violent incident in Thurston County as investigators work to determine what led to the fatal shootings.
