Detectives Investigate Deadly Shooting in First Hill

Seattle police are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred early Wednesday morning in the First Hill neighborhood.

Officers responded to reports of gunfire at an apartment complex in the 1200 block of Seneca Street just before 2:00 a.m. Upon arrival, they discovered a 40-year-old man inside a unit with multiple gunshot wounds. Despite immediate life-saving efforts by officers and Seattle Fire Department personnel, the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

The suspect fled before law enforcement arrived and remains at large. Homicide detectives are actively investigating the circumstances surrounding the shooting.

Authorities are urging anyone with information to contact the Seattle Police Department’s Violent Crimes Tip Line at (206) 233-5000.
