Seattle residents should prepare for a mix of sunshine and rain as the city experiences a dynamic weather pattern in the coming days.

According to the National Weather Service (NWS), Friday started off chilly at 39°F, with a dewpoint of 36°F and 86% humidity. Winds were calm, and the day is expected to remain mostly sunny, reaching a high of 63°F.

As evening sets in, partly cloudy skies will dominate, with temperatures dropping to 45°F and light northerly winds at 5 mph. By midnight, winds are expected to calm further.

On Saturday, cloud cover will increase slightly, and temperatures will rise to 67°F, signaling a warmer start to the weekend. However, rain chances will return on Sunday, with a 50% likelihood of showers after 11 a.m. and a high of 59°F. Winds will remain light, shifting from the south at 3 to 5 mph.

By Sunday night, rain is expected to intensify, with a 90% chance of precipitation and rainfall accumulations between a quarter to half an inch. The wet conditions will persist into Monday, bringing another 90% chance of rain and cooler temperatures peaking at 57°F.

As the week progresses, showers and possible thunderstorms may continue, making it essential for Seattle residents to stay updated on the latest forecasts. With a mix of sunny spells and rain-soaked evenings, the city is in for a classic Pacific Northwest weather whiplash.
