Two men were injured in a stabbing in Seattle’s Capitol Hill neighbourhood on Thursday evening, with one victim hospitalised in critical condition, police said.
Officers responded at approximately 6:08 p.m. to a report of an assault in the 1100 block of 16th Avenue, arriving to find two men with stab wounds in a parking lot. Investigators said the men had been fighting, with only the suspect armed with a knife. The weapon was recovered at the scene.
A man believed to be around 58 years old was stabbed multiple times in the chest and arm and was transported to Harborview Medical Center in critical condition. A second man, approximately 25, suffered a minor hand injury and was also taken to Harborview by ambulance. The suspect injured his own hand during the altercation.
Authorities have not released details about what led to the confrontation. The investigation is ongoing.
